Chief's "Babies, Bottles, and Badges" Drive Supports Families in Need
October 29, 2025
Just in time for the holiday season, the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) is proud to announce the success of its second annual Chief Lawrence Revell "Babies, Bottles, and Badges" drive, which collected and donated hundreds of baby supplies to local organizations supporting families in need.
This year's drive benefited parents and caregivers struggling to provide essential items, such as diapers, bottles, wipes and even hand-knit blankets, for infants and toddlers. The effort was made possible through the generous contributions of the Tallahassee/North Florida Area Chapter of the Albany State University Alumni Association, community partners and City employees in TPD, the City Attorney's Office and more.
All items collected will be distributed directly to local families through Refuge House, Brehon Family Services, Chelsea House, Camelot Community Care and NWF Health Network. These organizations serve as vital local resources for families.
The annual "Babies, Bottles, and Badges" drive was inspired by a personal chapter in Chief Revell's life. Years ago, he and his wife, Kimberly, found themselves navigating the challenges of raising two young children while welcoming a brand-new set of triplets into their family. During that time, it was their church family and friends throughout the community who stepped in with formula, diapers, food and much-needed encouragement. That outpouring of love and support became the foundation for this initiative – a way to give back and extend that same compassion to others.
"Our goal each year is to meet families where they are and offer support that makes a real difference," Chief Revell said. "When our community rallies behind efforts like this, it reminds us that kindness is still at the core of who we are and strengthens the bonds that make Tallahassee such a special place to call home."
The "Babies, Bottles, and Badges" drive is an integral part of TPD's ongoing commitment to fostering community relations beyond the call for service. To learn more about TPD and its community programs, visit Talgov.com/police.
