The shelter staff think I am 5 years old.

Maxi came to the shelter when her former owner could no longer care for her. She weighs 65 pounds. Maxi may need a little time to warm up to new people, but once she feels comfortable, she truly enjoys attention and loves being petted. Maxi could use some help learning to walk politely on a leash and is understandably anxious in the shelter environment. Her former owner described her as active, quiet, and friendly — especially when balls are involved, which she loves! She has experience with children over 12 and has spent much of her life outdoors. With patience, reassurance, and consistency, Maxi has all the potential to be a wonderful companion.
